Event Description:
We feel with our hearts and think with our brains, but it is said that our intestines can do that too. Although it sounds very unusual, it is interesting to think the food we eat can affect our mood, and this is made possible by the intestines, the microbiome and the enteric system associated with the CNS. Like everything in our body, this link is not simple but dependent on anatomical, endocrine, humoral, metabolic and immune pathways and affects mood, cognition and mental health.
