Event Description:
The BAW “How Emotions Are Made” provides cutting-edge knowledge of how neuroscientists are rethinking the emotions due to new discoveries using modern research tools. The topics include basic questions such as commonality of emotions through ages and cultures, their evolutionary importance for survival, and how emotions can affect health or disease (Days 1 and 5). At the same time there will also be smaller topics throughout the Week: emotion-focused therapy for children with autism spectrum disorder (Day 2) and adult patients (Day 3); emotions, brain and stress interaction (Day 4). Lectures of “University Saturday for school children” (Day 6) will cover aspects of the main topic that are important for school audience.
