About This Event
Event Description:
The Neuroscience Outreach and Volunteer Association at the University of Maryland School of Medicine will be visiting the 6th grade science classes at Francis Scott Key Elementary/Middle. We’ll give a brief overview of neuroscience and neuroscience research (including our volunteers’ own work), and then the students will rotate through three hands-on demonstrations: comparative brain anatomy, human-to-human muscle signaling, and cockroach leg electrophysiology.
