About This Event
Event Description:
GEPEN / UFJF (Study and Research Group in Neuroscience), in partnership with the UFJF Science Center and with the Department of Anatomy, intends to offer high school students and the general public, activities that would aid visitors to understand the relationship between reason and emotion in the decision-making process. To this end, there will be three workshops of 20 minutes for maximum of 15 people. The neuroanatomy workshop will inform about the neural substrates related to the decision-making process of rational and emotional information. In two other workshops, the visitor will experience the decision-making process based on rationalization and emotion. The aim is to demystify the common sense that values rational decisions over emotional cues for decision-making, as if it were possible to cancel one in favor of the other. The way is balance!
