Event Description:
“Beauty and the Brain” is the theme of this year’s “BioBus is BraiNY” festival. Participants can come to use microscopes, see mounted artwork, and hold a human or an animal brain! While there, they can explore activities on the neuroscience of choice and identity, facial feature recognition, symmetry in landscapes, color perception, and what hair can teach us about structure and function. A collective art project, “Sensational Harlem,” will be the cornerstone of the day, celebrating both community and individuality, and the dynamic interplay between sensation and perception.
