Brain Awareness Activity Week

Event Description:

These events will be held for our school students only. all events will be posted on our Facebook account and Twitter account after completion. The events will not be posted in advance because of security concerns.

Alternate Description:

This will be a week-long event held during recess. Students will participate in different activities during the week for 30 min. to 1:00 per day.
Day 1. Introduction to the brain (physical characteristics, general description of how it works along with physical activities that enhance brain function for example, crossing the midline and dance.
Day 2. Demonstrations on memory and ways to improve it, How you can look at an illustration and see two different things, and a STROOP effect experiment.
Day 3. Neuroplasticity, what it means and brain coordination exercises, Dance.
Day 4. Making a Brain Hat.
Day 5. Rubik’s Cube competition and Math 24 Competition.
