Brain myths are commonly-held ideas about the brain that many people believe to be true, but they may or may not be! This interactive session will get you thinking about some different brain myths – you will have the opportunity to discuss these, and vote on whether you think they are fact or fiction! Do you really only use 10% of your brain? Are people really “right-brained” or “left-brained”?

Host Dr Rachel Marchant will lead you through an exploration of seven myths, and present the real facts about each one to expand your neuroscience knowledge! This session does not assume previous knowledge of neuroscience – it will be very accessible, and you will have
the opportunity to ask questions.
