You often see news features talk about research with a colourful image of the brain or someone covered in electrodes. But how do these machines work and why do we use them? Dr James Bartlett will provide a brief overview of the science behind EEG (Electroencephalography) and MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging), two common neuroimaging methods. He will then interview two researchers who use these neuroimaging methods in their research to see what benefits they offer and what misconceptions people have.
