Brain in action: Neuroscientist go to school part 1

Event Description:

The Brain in action: Neuroscientists go to school part 1 is an event where researchers of the laboratory of neuropharmacology go to a public school to provide activities concerning the study of the brain. There will be six interactive activities, where students will learn the basic functions of the brain, myths and curiosities of neuroscience.
The six activities will be: meditation and principles of yoga, where students will learn the foundations of meditation and its importance for brain function; neuroscience games, which students will play games that stimulate logic, creativity and learning process; modeling neurons, where students will build a neuron using modeling clay, bringing an interactive way to learn; exposition of brain parts, which students will get to know physiological features of the nervous system, and also providing interactive activities about this subject; two physical activities to prompt the importance of physical activity for normal brain function, the first in a social contest and the second with inflatable toys.
