Brain Week Lausanne 2023: Discover the secret life inside your head

Event Description:

Exciting conferences on the brain, workshops, and participative activities for the whole family await you.

From March 13 to 18, 2023, a new edition of the Brain Week Lausanne allows you to discover the work of neuroscientists from the Lake Geneva region. On Monday 13, a "Stress & Brain" workshop will await you, as well as a public forum exposing the links between food, the intestine and the brain. Tuesday 14 will be dedicated to the work of the Neonatology Service of the CHUV and the brain of the baby born at term or prematurely; workshops and a public forum will be offered. On Wednesday 15, in the afternoon, families will have the opportunity to participate in activities that will lead to a better understanding of how the brain works, followed by a free visit to the Museum of the Hand if you wish. In the evening, young neurologists from the CHUV will talk about their work in the service of the brain in a public forum. On Thursday 16, an InfoSenior workshop "Nourish your brain, it will give it back to you" will take place at 4pm, followed by a public lecture by Prof Pierre Marquet on the early detection of certain psychiatric disorders. On Friday 17, a surprise evening at the Musée de la Main will introduce you to other secrets of the brain and plunge you into the world of artificial intelligence. On Saturday 18, families will be invited to the UNIL for a series of activities to discover what the brain is made of and how it works.

Des conférences passionnantes sur le cerveau, des ateliers, et des activités participatives pour toute la famille vous attendent.

Du 13 au 18 mars 2023, une nouvelle édition de la Semaine du cerveau Lausanne vous permet de découvrir les travaux des neuroscientifiques de l’arc lémanique. Lundi 13, un atelier « Stress & cerveau » vous attendra, tout comme un forum public exposant les liens entre l’alimentation, l’intestin et le cerveau. Mardi 14 sera dédié au travail du Service de Néonatologie du CHUV et le cerveau du bébé né à terme ou prématuré ; des ateliers et un forum public vous seront proposés. Mercredi 15, l’après-midi, place aux familles pour des activités qui amèneront une meilleure compréhension du fonctionnement du cerveau, suivies par une visite gratuite au Musée de la Main si vous le souhaitez. Le soir même, les jeunes neurologues du CHUV parleront de leur travail au service du cerveau dans un forum public. Jeudi 16, un atelier InfoSenior « Nourrissez votre cerveau, il vous le rendra ! » aura lieu à 16h, et sera suivi d’une conférence publique du Prof Pierre Marquet sur la détection précoce de certains troubles psychiatriques. Vendredi 17, une soirée surprise au Musée de la Main vous fera découvrir d’autres secrets du cerveau et vous plongera dans le monde de l’intelligence artificielle. Samedi 18, rendez-vous aux familles à l’UNIL pour une série d’activités permettant de découvrir de quoi est fait le cerveau et comment il fonctionne.
