About This Event

Event Description:

We will start with an "ice breaker" activity with students noticing their breathing and separating it into groups, each group will receive a Hoberman sphere and we will talk about short and expanded breathing and its relation to mental health. After that we will explain with a tissue brain, how breathing affects the brain and vice versa. The groups will be asked to choose 3 yoga postures and with a cloth dice they will be challenged to make the number of breaths that come out on the dice during the postures. We will then talk about how everyday disturbances affect our breathing, with the pot of calm. Then we will teach breathing exercises that they can use in everyday life.
