Event Description:
"The Brain and the Environment": this is the theme of the new edition of "Cervell..a..mente", scheduled for 27-28 February and 2-3 March 2023, in the Aula Magna of the University of Milan.
"Cervella..a..mente" is a series of seminars promoted by the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the University of Milan and aimed, in particular, at high school students, as part of the Brain Awareness Week initiatives.
Cervella..a..mente proposes a wide-ranging reflection on the results of research and on some topics mainly related to the brain. The 2023 edition, in particular, aims to explore how interaction with the environment, understood both as "the nature surroundig us", and as a family, school, work and social environment can influence learning and memory processes and how alterations in the environment (e.g. pollution and climate change; toxic substances and drugs) can affect brain health, promoting anxiety and stress (eco-anxiety), personality disorders, psychiatric and neurodegenerative pathologies.

"Cervell..a..mente" è un ciclo di seminari promosso dal Dipartimento di Scienze Farmaceutiche dell’Università degli Studi di Milano e rivolto, in particolare, agli studenti delle scuole superiori, nell’ambito delle iniziative per la Brain Awareness Week .
Cervell..a..mente propone una riflessione ad ampio raggio sui risultati della ricerca e su alcuni temi legati principalmente al cervello. L’edizione 2023, in particolare, si propone di approfondire come l'interazione con l'ambiente, inteso sia come "la natura che ci circonda", che come ambiente familiare, scolastico, lavorativo e sociale possa influire nei processi di apprendimento e memoria e come alterazioni a carico dell'ambiente (es. inquinamento e cambiamento climatico; sostanze tossiche e droghe) possano ripercuotersi sulla salute del cervello, promuovendo ansia e stress (eco-ansia), disturbi della personalità, patologie psichiatriche e neurodegenerative.
