About This Event
Event Description:
Neuroscience PhD student volunteers will virtually visit three separate middle school classes to teach them about the brain. The visits will contain two sessions. The first session will be about neuro imaging and will include a virtual tour of the UCSD microscopy core and teach students about tissue imaging using microscopy followed by a presentation about non-invasive brain imaging techniques such as MRI. The second part of the session will be about sensory processing and will include a presentation about how the brain processes and integrates different sensor inputs followed by a series of optical illusions.
