LUISA LOPEZ
A neurophysiopathological doctor, she is medical director at the Child Development Neuropsychiatry Clinic of the Casa di Cura “Villa Immacolata”, a healthcare facility in Viterbo. Ever since 2000, she has been scientific consultant of the project Neurosciences and Music of the Fondazione Mariani foundation, and professor at the Padova music conservatory “Conservatorio Statale di Musica Cesare Pollini”, with the courses “Neurophysiopathology and neurophysiological fundamentals of music therapy interventions” and “The neurosciences and music: elements of neuroscience and music” and at the Department of Science of the Nervous System and of Behaviour of the University of Pavia with the course “Development of musical abilities”. She is the Scientific Director at the music therapy school “Scuola di Formazione in Musicoterapia Oltre” in Rome.

MUSIC IN THE FIRST YEAR OF LIFE. REFLECTIONS ON THE UNIVERSAL AND EVOLUTIONARY SIGNIFICANCE OF MUSIC
The presence of music ever since the dawn of humankind has shaped us into what we are today. In their first 1,000 days of life, children are a powerhouse of possibility. They grow and learn at a very fast rate and music is an excellent tool to bring this growth into harmony.

ALOIS SALLER
Cardiology, Internal Medicine and Geriatric specialist. Professor at the University of Padova’s school of Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine. He studied violin at the Musikhochschule in Frankfurt. He is founder and director since 2013 of the Orchestra Asclepio – Medici per la Musica, an orchestra of doctors committed to bringing music to patients in hospitals.

THE BIOLOGY OF MUSIC
At the time of conception, the DNA is comparable to a musical score that has never existed on any other living being on this earth. Research in the field of epigenetics now tells us that how that score is played largely depends on us, on our behaviours and the emotions we feel each day. We know that vibration lies at the basis of the origin of the universe and life. This explains not only our human fascination with music but also its transformative power on our biology from an epigenetic perspective.

ANDREA APOSTOLI
He is founder and President of the AIGAM – Associazione Italiana Gordon per l’Apprendimento Musicale, a national association for music learning. He teaches Gordon Music Learning Theory at the Conservatory of Padova and has collaborated with many orchestras as an Educational Concert Designer (Berliner Philharmoniker, Wiener Symphoniker, Festspielhaus Baden Baden, etc.).

Children develop an aptitude for music very early in life.
Edwin Gordon conducted research in this field for 40 years, going on to develop his Music Learning Theory and an innovative way to start learning music from birth. His is a natural approach through an educational relationship based more on musical communication than “edutainment”.

La presenza della musica negli albori dell’uomo ha plasmato quello che siamo ora. Ogni bambino nei suoi primi 1000 giorni è un vulcano di crescita, apprendimento e possibilità, e la musica è un ottimo strumento per armonizzare tutto questo.

Luisa Lopez, medico Neurofisiopatologo, dirigente medico nell’Ambulatorio di Neuropsichiatria dell’età evolutiva presso la Casa di Cura Villa Immacolata di Viterbo. Dal 2000 è consulente scientifica del progetto Neuroscienze e Musica della Fondazione Mariani e docente presso il Conservatorio Statale di Musica Cesare Pollini di Padova con i corsi Neurofisiopatologia e basi neurofisiologiche dell’intervento musicoterapico e Le neuroscienze e la musica: elementi di neuroscienze e musica e presso il Dipartimento di Scienze del Sistema Nervoso e del Comportamento dell’Università di Pavia, con il corso Development of musical abilities. È Direttore Scientifico della Scuola di Formazione in Musicoterapia Oltre di Roma.

Il DNA nel momento stesso del concepimento è paragonabile ad un libretto di spartiti che non è mai stato su questa terra in nessun altro essere vivente: le più recenti ricerche in campo epigenetico oggi ci dicono che il modo in cui suonare quello spartito dipende da noi, dai nostri comportamenti e dalle emozioni che proviamo ogni giorno. Sappiamo anche che la vibrazione è alla base della nascita dell’universo e della vita. Ecco allora spiegato non solo il fascino che da sempre la musica provoca sull’animo umano, ma il potenziale trasformativo in senso epigenetico che essa può attuare sulla nostra biologia.

Alois Saller, medico specialista in Cardiologia, Medicina Interna e Geriatria. Docente all’Università di Padova nella scuola di specializzazione di Medicina Interna e Medicina d’emergenza-d’urgenza. Ha studiato violino presso la Musikhochschule di Francoforte sul Meno. Fondatore e direttore dal 2013 dell’Orchestra Asclepio – Medici per la Musica, che ha l’obiettivo di portare la musica ai malati nelle corsie ospedaliere.

Il bambino sviluppa la sua attitudine musicale nei primissimi anni di vita. Edwin Gordon per 40 anni ha fatto ricerca in questo ambito arrivando ad elaborare la Music Learning Theory e a sviluppare un modo innovativo di trasmettere la musica fin dalla nascita.
In modo naturale, attraverso una relazione educativa che si basa sulla comunicazione musicale più che sull’intrattenimento educativo.
