LUISA LOPEZ
Neural signature of a musician: from perception to performance
What distinguishes music training from any other training we do? Music is a multi-modal stimulus and its many facets offer wide-ranging possibilities for interaction and integration between our brain and somatosensory functions.

MARCO MARZIALI
An immunologist, he is an expert in blood disorders and bone marrow transplantation at the Umberto I General Hospital in Rome. Advocate of the cross-pollination between art and science through an interdisciplinary approach, he supports initiatives that bring music to hospitals, and medicine to conservatories and theatres, through narration and music. He published “La Quarta Ballata”, “Preludi”, and “Il donatore di musica.”

MUSIC DONOR
“He felt satisfied. He was both a music donor and a bone marrow donor, two experiences that made him realise that in a hospital, playing for patients and deeply listening to their pain can bring joy”. In his novel, a doctor who loves music gives all of us this wake-up call, in the expectation that deep listening can become a way to be giving of ourselves, not only through art but also through the gift of body. The novel encapsulates the dream of a compassionate hospital beyond suffering.

LUCIANO BORIN
A pianist and composer, he is a professor at Padova’s Conservatorio C. Pollini and is currently enrolled in the Degree Programme in Speech and Language Therapy at the University of Padova. A composer and director of vocal-instrumental ensembles and teacher specialised in the pedagogy of Gisela Rohmert’s Lichtenberger method, he holds voice training courses at the Teatro Stabile del Veneto and for the Education department of the Teatro La Fenice in Venice. His vocal and instrumental compositions have been awarded in national and international competitions and performed in major festivals.

VOCAL SOUND BEYOND THE BOUNDARIES OF TECHNIQUE
Delicate sound narratives create music from different eras and genres. The lightness and clarity springing from the depths of the body give shape to the various songs and the naturalness of the voice delivery. The workshop with the Nova Cantica vocal group of Belluno will focus on ergonomic practices and their application according to the Lichtenberger method of voice pedagogy to train and optimise the vocal function, used in the areas of therapy, personal development, and artistic, choral and solo singing.

“Si sentiva appagato. Era un donatore di musica e di midollo osseo allo stesso tempo, e aveva imparato che in ospedale, suonando per i malati, ascoltando il dolore degli altri si può sperimentare la gioia.” Il monito di un medico che ama la musica attraverso un romanzo, perché l’ascolto porti a essere generosi di sé tramite l’arte ma anche attraverso il dono del corpo. Vi è racchiuso il sogno dell’ospedale umano oltre la sofferenza.

Marco Marziali, medico Immunologo, si occupa di malattie ematologiche e trapianto di midollo osseo presso il Policlinico Umberto I Roma.
Fautore della interdisciplinarità fra arte e scienza, promuove iniziative che portano la musica negli ospedali e la Medicina nei conservatori e nei teatri attraverso la narrazione e la musica. Ha pubblicato “La Quarta Ballata”, “Preludi”, e “Il donatore di musica”.

Delicate trame sonore che disegnano musiche di epoche e stili diversi. Leggerezza e brillantezza che sgorgano dalla risonanza degli spazi interni del corpo, plasmano i vari canti e la naturalità dell’emissione vocale.
L’intervento in forma di laboratorio con il gruppo Vocale Nova Cantica di Belluno sarà incentrato sulla descrizione delle pratiche ergonomiche e della loro applicazione secondo il Metodo LichtenbergerInstitut (RFT), una pedagogia della voce per praticare e ottimizzare la funzione vocale negli ambiti terapeutici, dello sviluppo personale e nei repertori del canto artistico, solistico e corale.

Luciano Borin, pianista e compositore, docente al Conservatorio C. Pollini di Padova e nel corso di Laurea in Logopedia dell’Università di Padova. Compositore e direttore di ensemble vocali-strumentali, insegnante specializzato nella pedagogia del Metodo LichtenbergerInstitut (RFT) di Gisela Rohmert, tiene corsi di vocalità presso il Teatro Stabile del Veneto e il settore Education del Teatro La Fenice di Venezia.
Autore di musica vocale e strumentale ha ottenuto premi in concorsi nazionali e internazionali ed esecuzioni in importanti Stagioni e Festival.
