Event Description:
Connections: more than just neurons! aims to bring basic Neuroscience to the general public and kids while searching for the art underneath our skull. Connections consists of three parts:
Synapses:
Come the 19th of March to the Cervantes Institute (Utrecht) and learn about the wonderful world of the brain from the hand (and brain) of neuro-experts!! What is it made of? How does it change as we grow older? What is the best food for it (did you know we have neurons in our gut?!)? We will also talk about Ramón y Cajal and the art behind his neurons.
Corpus callosum:
Named after the bridge between right and left hemisphere, this exhibition brings together Science and art. From the 13th to the 19th of March at Cervantes Institute (Utrecht):
• Left hemisphere – Art: neuro-inspired artworks by the Spanish artist Ramón Trigo.
• Right hemisphere – Science: visit our infographics and ask your questions to our neuroscientists!
Glia:
Science for the young ones! Multiple workshop opportunities to get your kids to learn about the brain and Neuroscience. Some will be held during the BAW in different International schools in the Netherlands (English) and ALCE classrooms (Spanish). And the 19th of March enjoy Synapses and/or Corpus Callosum while your kids enjoy activities suited for them!

Conexiones: ¡más que neuronas! tiene como objetivo llevar la neurociencia básica al público en general y a los más pequeños además de encontrar el arte en nuestro cerebro. Conexiones consta de tres partes:
Sinapsis:
¡¡Ven el 19 de marzo al Instituto Cervantes (Utrecht) y conoce el maravilloso mundo del cerebro de la mano (y cerebro) de neuro-expertos!! ¿De qué está hecho? ¿Cómo cambia a medida que envejecemos? ¿De qué se alimenta (¿sabías que tenemos neuronas en el intestino?!)? Además, conoceremos quien fue Ramón y Cajal y el arte que hay detrás de sus neuronas.
Cuerpo calloso:
Llamada así por el puente entre el hemisferio derecho y el izquierdo, esta exposición reúne ciencia y arte. Del 13 al 19 de marzo en el Instituto Cervantes (Utrecht):
• Hemisferio izquierdo – Arte: el artista español Ramón Trigo presentará una obra de inspiración neurocientífica.
• Hemisferio derecho – Ciencia: ¡visita nuestras infografías y resuelve tus dudas gracias a nuestros neurocientíficos!
Glia:
¡Ciencia para los más pequeños! Diversos talleres para que tus hijos aprendan sobre el cerebro y la neurociencia. Estos talleres se llevarán a cabo durante la BAW en diferentes escuelas internacionales en los Países Bajos (en inglés) y aulas ALCE (en español). Y el 19 de marzo ¡disfruta de Sinapsis y/o Cuerpo Calloso mientras tus hijos disfrutan de actividades hechas a su medida!
