Event Description:
This is the first celebration of brain awareness week at IPICYT, a research institution located in San Luis Potosi, San Luis Potosi, Mexico.
During each day of the week, we will have an outreach talk covering topics such as the structure and function of the brain, what happens during neurodegenerative diseases and epilepsy, and how to study the brain. After the talk, we will have an open house where students can learn more about the brain through five workshops and a lab tour. For the last two days, we will visit a public area and will have a neuroscience booth to provide information about the brain to the public.

En el IPICYT, un centro de investigación que se encuentra en San Luis Potosí, México, celebraremos la primera semana del cerebro del 13 al 19 de marzo. Del 13 al 17, tendremos una plática de divulgación sobre el cerebro al día; en estas platicas se abordarán temas generales sobre la estructura función del cerebro, así como algunas enfermedades neurodegenerativas, epilepsia y como se estudian estas enfermedades. Al terminar, los asistentes podrán conocer más sobre el cerebro a través de 5 talleres que abordan diferentes aspectos del cerebro, además de conocer el laboratorio de Neurobiología, en donde hacemos nuestro trabajo de investigación.
