Event Description:
The Mario Negri Institute participates in the "Brain Awareness Week" with "Explore your brain": two days of meetings, visits, playful and in-depth moments to get to know this fascinating organ a little more closely.
Friday 17 and Saturday 18 March the events will be held at the Institute's headquarters in Milan, in Via Mario Negri 2. Admission is free, registration is welcome at the link: https://web-services.marionegri.it/esplora-il-tuo-cervello/
Friday 17 March: starting at 17.00 it will be possible to access the spaces of the Institute to meet the researchers and at 18.00 attend the seminar by Michela Matteoli, Professor of Pharmacology at Humanitas University, entitled: “Women and men: different brains? ”.
Saturday 18 March: doors open at the Mario Negri Institute in Milan for a great open day.
In the morning, high school students will be able to have a direct experience in the laboratory. The program includes an in-depth study of the Institute's projects, practical activities in small groups together with researchers from the Department of Neuroscience and Acute Brain Injury and an opportunity to discover the training path of young researchers and their research projects in the neurosciences (registrations for schools already closed).
The afternoon, from 14.00 to 18.30, will instead be dedicated to adults and children who will be able to access the Institute to visit the Neuro Exhibiton and attend various events:
At 14.30 and 16.15 there will be "Brain and creativity": introduction by Gianluigi Forloni, Head of the Department of Neurosciences and followed by musical and choreographic performances by the students of the Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana and the Pavlova Ballet School.
From 15.15 to 18.30 it will be possible to participate in the Neuro Tour (15 minutes), a trip to the Neuroscience laboratories accompanied by researchers (registration at the reception).
At 17.00 visitors will be able to attend a lecture by Prof. Silvio Garattini, President of the Mario Negri Institute, on the theme: "Aging in health".
The meetings are open to all and free.

L’Istituto Mario Negri partecipa alla "Brain Awareness Week"con “Esplora il tuo cervello”: una due giorni di incontri, visite, momenti ludici e di approfondimento per far conoscere un po’ più da vicino questo organo affascinante.

Venerdì 17 marzo: a partire dalle ore 17.00 sarà possibile accedere agli spazi dell’Istituto per incontrare i ricercatori e alle ore 18.00 assistere al seminario di Michela Matteoli, Professore di Farmacologia in Humanitas University, dal titolo: “Donne e uomini: cervelli diversi?”.
Sabato 18 marzo: porte aperte all’Istituto Mario Negri di Milano per un grande open day.
In mattinata le studentesse e gli studenti delle scuole superiori potranno vivere un’esperienza diretta in laboratorio. Il programma prevede un approfondimento sui progetti dell’Istituto, attività pratiche a piccoli gruppi insieme ai ricercatori del Dipartimento di Neuroscienze e di Danno Cerebrale Acuto e un momento di scoperta del percorso formativo dei giovani ricercatori e dei loro progetti di ricerca nelle neuroscienze (iscrizioni per le scuole già chiuse).
Il pomeriggio, dalle 14.00 alle 18.30, sarà invece dedicato ad adulti e bambini che potranno accedere all’Istituto per visitare la Neuro Exhibiton e assistere a diversi eventi:
Alle 14.30 e alle 16.15 si terrà “Cervello e creatività”: introduzione di Gianluigi Forloni, Responsabile del Dipartimento di Neuroscienze e a seguire performance musicale e coreografica degli studenti del Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana e della Pavlova Ballet School.
Dalle 15.15 alle 18:30 sarà possibile partecipare al Neuro Tour (15 minuti) un viaggio nei laboratori di Neuroscienze accompagnati dai ricercatori (registrazione presso la reception).
Alle 17.00 i visitatori potranno assistere a una lezione del Prof. Silvio Garattini, Presidente dell’Istituto Mario Negri, sul tema: “Invecchiare in salute”.
Gli incontri sono aperti a tutti e gratuiti.
