About This Event
Event Description:
This event is geared at young elementary aged children and their parents. We will be holding the event in a park (weather permitting) and we will start off with a conversational information session about the brain, it’s functions, it’s role in health and disease, as well as some important things we should all do to take care of our brains. We will bring along various animal brains in jars to point out different brain structures and talk about comparative neuroanatomy and evolution. Then we will all paint brains together on canvases, so they have a piece of art to hang on their wall to remind them every day about the importance of the brain.
