About This Event
Event Description:
Join Caroline Kohles, senior program director of Health and Wellness for an interview with Wendy Suzuki, Ph.D. to learn how exercise can give your brain a “bubble bath” of health. Discover why aerobic exercise enhances everything from mood to focus to memory and, most importantly, why it works to help stave off aging and neurodegenerative disease states like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. Learn about Dr. Suzuki’s newly developed brain assessment tool, BrainBody, which can provide an immediate readout of the effect of a workout on the brain on everything from focus, attention, and energy to hostility, anxiety, and depression.
Dr. Suzuki’s best known for her extensive work studying areas in the brain critical to our ability to form and retain new long-term memories. Most recently her work has focused on understanding how aerobic exercise can be used to improve brain function and protect the brain from aging and neurodegenerative disease states in humans.
