On Wednesday 18th March The Brain Charity will be throwing open our doors to welcome anyone affected by a neurological condition, along with the wider local community, for our big ‘Head Matters’ open day.
This year’s Head Matters Tea Party, held to mark Brain Awareness Week at The Brain Charity, has a mental health theme. As CEO Nanette Mellor explains: “Over half of all people with a neurological condition experience a mental health issue at some point in their lives, so we know this is an important subject for many of our clients and decided to highlight what can be done to help.”
Expert speakers, including consultants from The Walton Centre, will give talks on aspects of mental health throughout the day and there will be the chance to ask questions afterwards.
The Brain Charity team will be joined by many other organisations and partner charities from the neurological field and beyond to answer your questions and provide advice. The exhibition will be packed with ideas on how to get and stay happy & healthy no matter what your condition.
