We invite you to the II Brain Week of Pernambuco & I Brain Week of the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE) entitled "The Emotional Brain: knowing and educating emotions".
Brain Awareness Week (BAW) has been a global campaign since 1995 by the Dana Alliance for Brain Initiatives (DABI) and the Dana European Alliance for the Brain (EDAB) to raise worldwide awareness of the benefits of brain awareness. Since then, this campaign has been held annually in March. In Brazil, specifically in the state of Pernambuco, in 2018 the 1st Brain Week of the Federal University of Vale do São Francisco (UNIVASF) was held. This event organized by the UNIVASF was considered the 1st Brain Week in Pernambuco.
The 2nd Pernambuco Brain Week & 1st UFRPE Brain Week has the institutional support of the Rectory, Pro-Rectory of Extension, Culture and Citizenship (PROEXC), Pro-Rectory of People Management (PROGEPE), Pro-Rectory of Student Management (PROGESTI) and the Department of Quality of Life (DQV) at UFRPE.
In 2023, UFRPE holds this event as an extension project in partnership with the Pernambuco Universitas Consortium (UFRPE, Federal University of Pernambuco — UFPE, University of Pernambuco — UPE, UNIVASF, and Catholic University of Pernambuco — UNICAP). Our goal is to create a neuroeducation culture, being considered an annual campaign to popularize the importance of brain awareness.

Convidamos você para a II Semana do Cérebro de Pernambuco & I Semana do Cérebro da Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco (UFRPE) intitulada “O Cérebro Emocional: conhecendo e educando as emoções".
A Semana de Conscientização do Cérebro, Brain Awareness Week (BAW), se constitui desde 1995 em uma campanha global da Aliança Dana para iniciativas Cerebrais (DABI) e Aliança Europeia Dana (EDAB) visando à conscientização mundial dos benefícios trazidos pela consciência do funcionamento cerebral. Desde então, esta campanha é realizada anualmente no mês de março. No Brasil, especificamente no estado de Pernambuco, em 2018 foi realizada a I Semana do Cérebro da Universidade Federal do Vale do São Francisco (UNIVASF). Esse evento que foi organizado pela UNIVASF foi considerado a I Semana do Cérebro de Pernambuco.
A II Semana do Cérebro de Pernambuco & I Semana do Cérebro da UFRPE conta com o apoio institucional da Reitoria, Pró-Reitoria de Extensão, Cultura e Cidadania (PROEXC), Pró-Reitoria de Gestão de Pessoas (PROGEPE), Pró-Reitoria de Gestão Estudantil (PROGESTI) e do Departamento de Qualidade de Vida (DQV) da UFRPE.
Em 2023 a UFRPE realiza este evento sob a forma de projeto de extensão em parceria com o Consórcio Pernambuco Universitas (UFRPE, Universidade Federal de Pernambuco — UFPE, Universidade de Pernambuco — UPE, UNIVASF e Universidade Católica de Pernambuco — UNICAP). Nosso objetivo é criar uma cultura neuroeducacional, sendo considerada uma campanha de periodicidade anual para a popularização da importância da consciência do cérebro.
