II Semana do cérebro do Vale do São Francisco: A neurociência vai às ruas

Event Description:

We planned activities that will bring information on how the brain works and on our current research in Neuroscience to the community of the Vale do São Francisco Region in Brazil. The event will be decentralized with activities in local universities, regular and professional schools, an elderly care space, and by the São Francisco riverside.

In this edition of our event, we planned lectures open to the general public on neuroscientific topics, such as psychopharmacology, brain aging, and machine learning; interactive games for children and teenagers involving basic concepts about the brain and sensory experiences; and physiotherapy activities for elderly focusing on stressing the importance of physical activity for healthy aging.
