The Research Group in Theoretical and Applied Neurosciences (GPeNTA) and the Nucleus for Scientific Initiation and Extension of the Medical Course of the Pará State University Center (CESUPA), in their Medical Scientific Initiation project (ICMed), promote the II BRAIN WEEK at CESUPA, in partnership with the XXV Brain Awareness Week, held by the Dana Foundation, as well as the X Brain Week, held by the Brazilian Society for Neurosciences and Behavior (SBNeC). In this year of 2021, we will have a mini-conference, in which our students will present their works, whose diverse topics discuss since the impact of the use of different means of transport (walking, bicycle, bus, car) on the mental health of Brazilian citizens during the COVID-19 pandemic, until the application of Artificial Intelligence in the diagnosis of neuro-ophthalmological diseases, including also works on neuroprotection and diabetes, bioanthropometry and drug prescription of neuropharmaceuticals, prevention of death in spinal cord trauma, among others. In addition, GPeNTA will launch its page on the Internet, thus creating a new channel for the dissemination of Neurosciences to Brazilian society.
