About This Event
Event Description:
In Italy, Targeted Research (Ricerca Finalizzata), funded by the Ministry of Health, is one of the main tools for achieving the objectives of the National Health Service (SSN) policies. The element that characterizes it is in fact the transfer of results directly to the NHS, acquiring the definition of translational research; they are therefore projects related to the biomedical and clinical care area, whose main impact is the centrality of the person and the needs of citizens related to health, and aimed at an application orientation. Some areas of intervention are: the development of innovative procedures in the fields of prevention, diagnosis and treatment; the evaluation of the safety and efficacy of treatments, technologies and interventions that still require further investigation; the study of the welfare needs of the weakest social groups; the analysis of issues related to the field of pathologies of environmental origin, safety in the workplace and occupational pathologies; the development and application of tools and methods aimed at improving communication with citizens.
Alternate Description:
In this research seminar, the researchers of the IRCSS Mondino Foundation will present the interesting pre-clinical and clinical results of this scientific project and the published articles related.
