About This Event

Event Description:

The Northern Region University Center (CUNorte) of the University of Guadalajara has 4 scientific research laboratories (Functional and Cognitive Neuroregeneration, Cognitive Neuroscience, Clinical Research, and Integrative Biotechnology). The northern region of Jalisco is a multicultural area, with approximately 15,000 speakers of native languages such as Huichol, Cora or Tepehuano, and classified with significant degrees of marginalization in health, education and poverty. Consequently, CUNorte has become one of the most important institutions providing higher education in the zone, particularly in the Nursing and Psychology fields.
The Brain Awareness Week MMXX at CUNorte seeks to contribute to promoting brain research and awareness at CUNorte by addressing the following five objectives:
1. Stimulate middle and high school students’ interest in neurosciences.
2. To publicize frontier research on the role of the brain by national and internationally recognized speakers.
3. Incite the spirit of bibliographic and scientific research in CUNorte students through panels with professors and researchers from the field of neurosciences.
4. Disseminate information from reliable sources about brain function and nervous system disturbances using posters designed by undergraduate students.
5. Deliver precise information about brain health to the general public.
