About This Event
Event Description:
The activities will be developed by members of the Academic League of Physiology (LiFi) at the Alfenas Federal University / MG, linked to the Multicentric Post-graduation Program in Physiological Sciences (PPGMCF) and the Brazilian Society of Physiology (SBFis). Between March 13th and 19th, we will release informational cards and booklets about the topic from a physiological perspective and related processes on our Instagram profile (@ligadefisiologiaunifal) to encourage the campaign and stimulate scientific knowledge in a simple and interactive way. In addition, on March 15th and 16th, we will visit two educational institutions in Alfenas / MG, namely: Dirce Moura Leite State School and Levindo Lambert Municipal School. Our audience will be students in Elementary School II (6th to 9th grade), with 125 students average per shift (morning and afternoon), where we will hold lectures and debates to address the theme, with didactic materials made by LiFi members, such as the morphology of neurons made of biscuit dough. Other activities will be available during the lectures, such as interactive games that stimulate learning and memory, informational booklets with a summary of the presented material, the construction of a brain hat to color and assemble, and some neuromyths. The purpose of the in-person activities is to stimulate critical thinking with the help of tools provided by neuroscience, using a debate format with questions and answers related to the theme and encouraging creativity and learning through practical didactic materials.
