More and more, we are seeing children starting school with physical, cognitive and/or emotional challenges- many of which are rooted in the brain. Join Dr. Laura Dieleman, as she reviews why the brain develops in the order that it does with a focus on the motor stages. You will learn the importance of each stage and how it lays the foundation for the next, as well as how missing and incomplete stages can impede brain development. Dr. Dieleman will discuss possible reasons for why children are failing to progress through the motor stages and what actions you can take now to help them reach their developmental milestones.
