About This Event
Event Description:
Take a moment each day during the Brain Awaresness Week to stimulate your own brain with music. Marcus Hikren, a composer of piano music with an excessive interest in the human brain, will upload one track or video each day. He wants to show from his personal background that music can help keep the brain stimulated. Marcus is convinced that both individuals and society as a whole benefit from each unique brain being optimally utilized, recognized and acknowledged.
Not only with his compositions, but also with the sound technique itself Marcus wants to set something in motion within you. Today you can experience binaural recording. The binaural technique makes brilliant use of how your brain works. You don’t have to do anything for that yourself. Your left and right ear perceive different frequencies, which you do hear simultaneously. These sound waves overlap in your brain. From that, your brain makes a perception. Marcus is actually fooling your brain. He creates a fictitious world around you in which your sound image changes based on your viewing and listening direction. So he just pretends that you are in a space you are not physically present at all.
The only thing you have to do is put on your headphones and click on this link or copy/paste it in your browser:
