Event Description:
Alzheimer's Ethiopia (AE) in partnership with local and international partners organized the 2023 National Brain Awareness Week in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia under the leadership of Dr. Yared Z. Zewde, founder and director of AE and Chair of the Department of Neurology at College of Health Sciences in Addis Ababa University. The week-long program was packed with a number of interactive and engaging activities which were catered to high school and undergraduate medical students and the general public.
The program objectives were creating awareness about neural functioning and brain health, stimulating public conversation towards some of the most common neurological diseases, and enhancing students' interest and engagement in neuroscience at an earlier stage.
