Event Description:
The COVID-19 pandemic, originated by the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, has caused worldwide catastrophe in the economics, social, and health spheres. COVID-19 is a multi-organ disease with a broad spectrum of health complications, such as respiratory infections leading to respiratory-related symptoms and diseases. The development, approval, and application of vaccines against SARS-CoV-2 is ongoing; however, there are increasing reports of prolonged effects after COVID-19 infection, including respiratory and neurological sequelae. The current world epidemiological data and statistical projections allow us to expect a significant increase in COVID-19-related health disturbances in recovered patients.
The objective of the IBRO/DANA BRAIN AWARENESS WEEK ” POST-COVID HEALTH CHALLENGES” will be to provide basic and clinical information to student population and public about the current knowledge of neurological disorders related to patients that suffered from COVID-19. Moreover, notable scientists will show an overview about the status of COVID-19 situation, and they will highlight the possible novel therapeutical approaches for treating post-COVID-19 -related neurological disorders. It is also important to note that the academic event would impact in several fields such as pharmacology, public health, molecular biology, and many others in undergraduate students. Furthermore, the IBRO/DANA BRAIN AWARENESS WEEK ” POST-COVID HEALTH CHALLENGES ” will also impact in educate people about how the importance of the signs and symptoms of neurological diseases in COVID-19 recovered patients.
