Event Description:
The neuroscientific revolution began when scientists from areas like Medicine, Biology and Psychology realized that a multidisciplinary vision was required to understand the functioning of the brain, so it was necessary to have different levels of analysis, following an order of ascending complexity: molecular, cellular, behavioral and cognitive.
Everything indicates that neuroscientific findings and their medical, psychological and social applications will play an even more relevant role in the coming years, and that the need for basic theoretical and instrumental knowledge in neuroscience for this purpose will increase. It is convenient for students to have all the available resources that can facilitate their induction to this field, such as approaching professionals who are experts in the neuroscientific field.
La Jornada Semana del Cerebro en la FES Zaragoza 2021 is an event that will be held for the fifth consecutive year at our Faculty. This event has the participation of speakers who are professors and / or researchers linked to the area of neurosciences at the FES Zaragoza, researchers from other UNAM Faculties, and researchers from other educational and health institutions.

La revolución neurocientífica inició cuando los y las científicas de áreas como Medicina, Biología y Psicología se dieron cuenta de que se requería de una visión multidisciplinar para entender el funcionamiento del cerebro, por lo que era necesario tener diferentes niveles de análisis, siguiendo un orden de complejidad ascendente: molecular, celular, conductual y cognitivo.
Todo indica que los hallazgos neurocientíficos y sus aplicaciones médicas, psicológicas y sociales tendrán un papel aún más relevante en los próximos años, y, que aumentará la necesidad de poseer los conocimientos teóricos e instrumentales básicos en neurociencia para este fin. Resulta conveniente para los y las estudiantes dispongan de todos los recursos disponibles que puedan facilitar su inducción a este campo, tales como el acercamiento con profesionales expertos en el campo neurocientífico.
La Jornada Semana del Cerebro en la FES Zaragoza 2021 es un evento que se realizará por quinto año consecutivo en nuestra Facultad. Dicho evento cuenta con la participación de ponentes que se encuentran adscritos como profesores y/o investigadores vinculados con el área de neurociencias en la FES Zaragoza, investigadores de otras Facultades de la UNAM, e investigadores de otras instituciones educativas y de salud.
