𝗔𝗯𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁:
this event "Research, innovation and society: an alliance for brain health" is part of the international campaign of the Brain Week 2023. The aim of the webinar is to spread, among the society, awareness of the importance of translational research, whereby results obtained from the laboratories are translated into tangible benefit for the population. In fact, in recent years, innovative spin-offs and start-ups raised from our universities with the goal of translating research results into new therapies and services, including the digital ones; essential to promote the well-being and to improve neuropsychological health. The vicious circle of relationships between research laboratories and the business world helps bridging academic science with the broader context of public health and citizens, allowing the spread of prevention and promoting more accessible neuropsychological treatments. During the webinar the topic of scientific dissemination will also be explored, a precious opportunity where patients' associations and citizens' organizations are also called and actively involved in the in the formulation of scientific evidence and in developing, evaluating and monitoring innovations in the healthcare system.

Speakers:
– Irene Ronga: Researcher at the BIP (BraIn Plasticy and behavior changes) research group, Department of Psychology, University of Turin
"Between research and society: application opportunities for basic research in neuroscience"

– Gloria Simoncini: Psychologist, specializing in Neuropsychology and Psychotherapy at the University of Turin
"The Role of Technology in Promoting Mental and Cognitive Health: Nourishing Networks and Removing Barriers"

– Silvia Bucciarelli: Psychologist, Specialist in Neuropsychology and Psychotherapy, Chartered Clinical Psychologist at the Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust – Long Covid Team (U.K.)
"Scientific dissemination in neuropsychology"

– Enrica De Cecco: PhD in Neuroscience, Biomedical Informatics, Patient Advocacy and BDM at Restorative Neurotechnologies
"The role of patients’ associations for the access to new digital therapies in the public sector and the Health Technology Assessment"
