Event Description:
The international Brain Awareness Week (BAW) campaign is a global celebration where scientists, schools, students, and different communities come together for a week in March to raise awareness about the importance of brain research.
In Mexico this event is called The Week of the Brain and is sponsored by The Dana Alliance for Brain Initiatives. The main objective is to show the advances in the scientific study of the brain, both in experimental models and in humans.
Each March, during Brain Week, researchers and practitioners join forces in neuroscience and the brain to carry out activities that include open days in laboratories, exhibitions on the brain, conferences on brain-related topics, campaigns on social networks, exhibitions in libraries and community centers, classroom workshops and much more.
In 2023 the BAW international campaign will be held at CUNorte on March 16 and 17.

La campaña internacional Brain Awareness Week (BAW) es una celebración mundial donde se reúnen científicos, escuelas, estudiantes y diferentes comunidades durante una semana en marzo para hacer conciencia sobre la importancia de la investigación del cerebro.
En México este evento se denomina La Semana del Cerebro y es auspiciado por The Dana Alliance for Brain Initiatives. El objetivo principal es mostrar los avances en el estudio científico del cerebro, tanto en modelos experimentales como en humanos.
Cada marzo, durante La Semana del Cerebro, se unen los esfuerzos de investigadores y profesionales de las neurociencias y el cerebro para llevar a cabo actividades que incluyen jornadas de puertas abiertas en laboratorios, exposiciones sobre el cerebro, conferencias sobre temas relacionados con el cerebro, campañas en redes sociales, muestra en las bibliotecas y centros comunitarios, talleres de aula y mucho más.
En el 2023 la campaña internacional BAW se celebraraa en el CUNorte durante los días 16 y 17 de marzo.
