About This Event
Event Description:
"SEMANA DEL CEREBRO UABC 2023" is proposed as a linking event between the academic community and the general population, vulnerable population and some civil associations of Tijuana. In this space, knowledge of neuroscience, the brain and its functioning will be disseminated, in a clear and easy-to-understand language for the general population and children. Some activities will be online and others face-to-face on the Ensenada (FCAyS), Mexicali (FCH) and Tijuana (FMyP and FACISALUD) campuses. The event will take place from March 10 to 17, 2023 in a hybrid format. As speakers we have distinguished researchers from various institutions in the country and from UABC. As the program we will have several activities for the general public and the university community such as artistic works contest, visits from elementary and high schools and neurodiverse communities to different spaces and laboratories of UABC where playful and demonstrative science activities will be carried out. On the other hand, we will have talks, conferences, scientific coffees, specialist panels, film screenings and film debates, and some specific events for our university community such as workshops and a model and poster contests.
