Imagine that you are just about to fall asleep and you start to count sheep in your head when suddenly you feel a pressure on your chest and you sense a presence in the room. You cannot move a muscle, but you are aware of your surroundings. Muscles are paralyzed – the chemicals are preventing them from acting out the show of the brain.
