About This Event
Event Description:
The SRU Nu Rho Psi and NeuroRocks student groups will host a table at the STEMtacular Summit to bring awareness to brain health and to talk about Neuroscience career paths to 7th-10th grade students.
Alternate Description:
United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania, in partnership with the Arconic Foundation and the Pittsburgh Public Schools, will host a Be STEMtacular Summit for students in grades 7 through 10 on March 8, 2022 from 10 AM to 1:30 PM at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh. 500 students from four Pittsburgh Public Schools (Pittsburgh Milliones/UPrep 6-12, Pittsburgh Morrow K-8, Pittsburgh Schiller 6-8, and Pittsburgh Westinghouse 6-12) will be invited to attend this Summit.
This Summit will give students exposure to information about STEM/STEAM careers and the educational opportunities available to prepare them for these careers. They also will participate in interactive STEM activities/workshops and learn about Out-of-School Time programs working with youth in the STEM/STEAM spaces.
