Event Description:

Scientists from the Alcohol Studies Center at UNC will be leading an engaging and interactive demo with a robotic claw. The exhibit will illutrate how electrical activity from our brain and muscles can be “picked up” and used to control a robotic claw – this is a simple model for a prosthetic. This is a fun activity applicable for all ages! We will also have examples of brain from multiple species, converse about the structure and functions of our brains and reinforce strategies for keeping our brains healthy and thriving.
