The aim of this lecture is to educate visitors about the neurobiological mechanisms underlying the development of gambling addiction. The potential long term consequences of such an addiction will also be discussed, as well as options for treatment and prevention. If visitors have ever asked themselves how a few harmless dice rolls can easily lead to an addiction of catastrophic proportions, as well as what role the brain plays in that process, we urge them to join our lecture and find out!
