About This Event
Event Description:
Around the world, we have experienced rates of death not seen since the Spanish Flu over a century ago. Tens of thousands of those dead include people under 50 whose loved ones expected decades more time with them. Dorothy P. Holinger, PhD, author of The Anatomy of Grief, discusses grief’s impact on the bereaved, including the very real physical changes that happen to the brain and the body, and the tools that can be used to begin to process and heal after a deep personal loss. (Dr. Holinger was an academic psychologist on the faculty of Harvard Medical School for over 23 years. She is a Fellow of the Association for Psychological Science and has her own psychotherapy practice.)
