Event Description:
Activities were hold for 3rd grade elementary school students.
The students witnessed a play in which an 8-year-old boy dreams that he travels inside his brain and learns about the different types of cells and molecules that defend him against invading microorganisms. He also learns about the interaction of the lymphatic and circulatory systems with the brain.
Later they participated in six workshops in which 1) they assembled a hat in the shape of a brain and attached it to a spinal cord, using it in the classroom during the entire time that they witnessed the play and participated in the interactive workshops that were carried out; 2) they learned about the differences between mammalian animal brains, including the human brain through a card memory game, 3) they learned about the shape and texture of a real mammalian brain, 4) they injected food coloring to brain-shaped jellies to reinforce what was learned with the circulatory system in the brain, 5) they assembled a neuron and related it to the function of some cerebral cortex´s areas, 6) they took pictures of themselves with the materials that represented the human brain and the circulatory and lymphatic system´s.

Se realizaron actividades para los alumnos de 3° de primaria.
Los alumnos presenciaron una obra de teatro en la que un niño de 8 años sueña que viaja por el interior de su cerebro y aprende sobre los diferentes tipos de células y moléculas que lo defienden de los microorganismos invasores. También aprende sobre la interacción de los sistemas linfático y circulatorio con el cerebro.
Posteriormente participaron en seis talleres en los que 1) armaron un sombrero con forma de cerebro y lo sujetaron a una médula espinal, usándolo en el salón de clases durante todo el tiempo que presenciaron la obra y participaron en los talleres interactivos que se realizaron llevado a cabo; 2) aprendieron sobre las diferencias entre los cerebros de animales mamíferos, incluido el cerebro humano a través de un juego de memoria con cartas, 3) aprendieron sobre la forma y la textura del cerebro de un mamífero real, 4) inyectaron colorante alimentario en gelatinas con forma de cerebro para reforzar lo aprendido con el sistema circulatorio en el cerebro, 5) armaron una neurona y la relacionaron con el funcionamiento de algunas áreas de la corteza cerebral, 6) se fotografiaron con los materiales que representaban el cerebro humano y el sistema circulatorio y sistema linfático.
