About This Event

Event Description:

EMDR stands for “Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing” and is being used to help treat patients who have experienced trauma. Individuals will recall a distressing event, visually, and then will utilize eye movements to train the brain to deal with such images. Essentially, it is a way to rewire the brain. This is a workshop that will be led by a clinician at Wesleyan University to help students learn how they can overcome trauma.
