Event Description:

Playing a game is not simple – it requires the role of various cognitive functions, but also involves various emotions. In this workshop, we will divide students into two groups and they will play a brain knowledge quiz (using the online tool Kahoot). We will then ask them how they felt during the competition and how they felt after it (given the win/loss). We will then briefly explain what happens in the brain during play. The neurosystem of emotions in play will be explained first, and then in the context of psychology it will be explained why it is easy to become addicted to victory.
