Event Description:
Today, it is almost impossible to buy food or drink in packaging that is not plastic or at least does not contain plastic coatings. Numerous chemicals are used in the production of this plastic packaging, and today we know that these chemicals may migrate in food and thus end up in the human body. In this lecture, we will discuss how chemicals from plastic packaging affect the gut microbiome and how that may impact human health.
