About This Event
Event Description:
The interest in science starts during school years. Unfortunately, the official program of school biology in Ukraine is not optimal for neuroscience. The course of human anatomy and physiology is on the 8th grade (~13 y.o.), before the molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics and other important chapters (9-11 grades). That’s why most of the students have only very elementary knowledge about the nervous system at the end of school. This affects the intention to build the career in neuroscience or neurology. Most of official textbooks contain typical set of errors, biases or outdated facts. We will organize ZOOM meeting with school teachers and analyze those problems. A set of lesson templates will be delivered.
