Details of Major Brain Awareness Week Events/Activities:
This event highlighted ways to reduce the risk for Alzheimer’s disease and protect brain health. Scientists from the Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation presented evidence on which supplements, diets, and lifestyle changes can benefit your brain. Our goal was to provide a forum for the general public to get information about dementia prevention and interact directly with scientists. We had a spirited question and answer session that allowed participants to ask questions about what causes dementia, what is known about different preventative measures, and potential treatments.
