Details of Major Brain Awareness Week Events/Activities:
In addition to two general lectures open to the general public with in 2015 the thematic: “How to detect the first signs of a brain disease” held in Liège, an event called “The Brain Ambassadors Day” was held March 17 and celebrated during and with BAW the 10th anniversary of the Belgian Brain Brain Council. The event was held within the prestigious Palais d’Egmont in Brussels and gathered a large panel of stakeholders (150) including policy makers, patients associations, a Federal minister, pharmaceutical industry, a world widely known singer: Salvatore Adamo and journalists. The main message delivered during the event was: What future for Brain research in Belgium? The slides illustrating the content of the speakers can be downloaded from our website (see www.belgianbraincouncil.be) aswell as the press release generated (see http://www.belgianbraincouncil.be/BBADPressRelease.html). A selection of pictures illustrating the atmosphere and the cocktail following the conference are also visible at http://www.belgianbraincouncil.be/files/BBC10-AllPictures.pdf. Conclusions were written in 3 different languages (English, French and Dutch) sent to all the policy makers. Conclusions and recommandations are readiblle and downloadable from our Belgian Brain Council web page.

Quotable comments which capture successful aspects of your event(s):
The cabinet of the Federal Minister for pension (Dr. Daniel Bacquelaine) wrote us that the Minister is ready to add his support to our action for defending both BAW and Belgian Brain Council mission.
