Details of Major Brain Awareness Week Events/Activities:
Ever wonder what physical movements change your brain or behavior? What can you do that augments your memory, balances your emotions, enhances your confidence? What drives creativity more, a walking or sitting meeting? Learn easy to implement practices taught from the perspective of a movement instructor with a master’s in Mind, Brain and Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Understanding Goals Students will understand how the body may change the brain and behavior using physical practices based on brain research. The course is taught from the perspective of a movement educator with a background in neuroscience, cognitive science and education. Participants are prepared to practice simple acts of movement and/or stillness.
