Details of Major Brain Awareness Week Events/Activities:
We had a high school audience as the target group. We had 90 students for the 4 lectures series related to Traumatic injury to head and brain. The objective was: to give them the knowledge of the human head and brain to make them aware of using helmet during bike ridding and cycling to prevent from head and brain injury to give them the knowledge of the arteries in brain to give them the clinical importancs of arteries to give them the idea of various function cortical areas in brain and their connection to give them idea of addiction and neural circuit in brain and to give them the knowledge of the healthy brain we felt we achieved the goals because the student requested us to make a frequent visit to their classes and give them such knowledge. They were highly motivated from our team members Dr. sandip, Dr. Bhawesh and Dr. Laxman and Dr. Sarun, and the students promised to share these to their family members and society.
