Details of Major Brain Awareness Week Events/Activities:
Events were varies and included: Two webinars were held. Both titled, Be Kind to Your Mind – One was designed for internal health system Associates,l the other for a National Association. The learning goal was to learn the basic lifestyle that supports brain health both short term and long term. Our goal was met in that we have had two subsequent brain based webinars with growing numbers, and now will present brain based information in person at this national associations conference. A PlayDate for Your Brain was a community event that occured over 2 weeks, the second week in BHAW. First was a group presentation and Q&A on brain health, the second part was a family friendly cafe of table based games, information, puzzles and activities each focused on a different part of brain functionality. Goal achieved in people learning our program exists for them to learn more. Within the hospital in patient pediatrics departments, we made neurons and went through the Dana books and information on the brain.
